DAY 3 : Psychedelics & Sexuality

Welcome to Day 3: Psychedelics and Sexuality

by Lya Serrano and Leila Li

Welcome to the last day of the summit, today we talk about what happens when Psychedelics and Sexuality come cross together (or not). Let's go for it!

About Paradigm Xchange: Meet Lya Serrano and Leila Li - We believe we are in an era where the psychedelic renaissance will create a new history for mental health. We are also at an era where expanding our understanding of human sexuality and the impact of our early relationships needs our attention more than ever.

We are shaping a world where the beneficial and safe use of psychedelics is integrated with respect and awareness into the healthcare system and society. A world where sexuality is accepted, holistically researched, and educated with consent and empowerment for the well-being of children, individuals, and families.

With a shared vision, we host multidisciplinary conferences, summits, and nonprofit and community events around controversial topics that hold transformation and well-being for humanity.

Indigenous perspective: Shipibo Tradition, plant medicine dietas, and sexuality in indigenous cultures

by Maestra Eunice García. Moderated by Lya and Dr. Christopher Mc Laren

Maestra Eunice: medicine woman and Shipibo shamanka, grew up learning from her grandmother, a healer and herbalist. Guided by her older brother, Maestro Heberto, she deepened her shamanic knowledge and now conducts Ayahuasca ceremonies near Iquitos in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. Her dream is to establish a shamanic center where people can undergo plant medicine diets for healing and shamanic training. For Maestra Eunice, the heart-centered connection with plant spirits is paramount, as she believes, "Plants teach you to heal, expand, and dream"

DAY 3 : Psychedelics & Sexuality

How can shamanic and tantric practices support new approaches to individual healing and system change?

by Wave Davis

“We find a rock and see within it veins of rich red and luminous greens. We know this is because when this rock was young and forming, the trauma of volcanic movement caused cracks to appear which allowed minerals from elsewhere to enter. Trauma has many shadows. Its light, however, is that into the cracks caused by pain, a healing power from elsewhere can enter. We can learn to direct this energy to heal ourselves and others of physical, psychological, and spiritual wounds”

Wave Davis is the Founder of Organising from Elsewhere, aiming to revolutionize activism by learning from indigenous communities and exploring psychedelics and tantric techniques for embodied learning. There he collaborates with notable figures like Dave Snowden and Extinction Rebellion UK founder Simon Bramwell. As a tantric and shamanic practitioner with over 8 years of extensive training, draw wisdom from teachers like Alan Lowen and Pema. His deep connection with plant medicines has honed his skills under Maestro Heberto Garcia's guidance in Peru's Amazon rainforest. Wave is also a prolific writer known for his impactful work at Collier Street Writers Group and Sweet Sundays.

Sara Budhwani is a Canadian in Amsterdam who has been exploring the healing effects of psychedelics for over 4 years.
